Black History Celebration

Black History Month is an annual celebration of Black excellence, resilience, and contribution to society. It is a time for everyone—children, young people, adults, elders, and allies to come together, honour achievements, reflect on shared struggles, and amplify the voices that shape our collective future.
This year’s theme, Standing Firm in Power and Pride, invites us to celebrate our heritage, identity, and culture with strength and confidence. It’s also a call to pass on these values to the next generation; teaching our children the beauty of their roots, honouring our elders for paving the way, and inspiring all of us to walk forward with unity, pride, and hope.
