Welcoming the Pilotlighters!

We were thrilled to welcome the Pilotlighters to our community hub in Rochdale for a day filled with energy, insight, and shared purpose. As part of the Weston Charity Awards, Caring and Sharing has been matched with Pilot Light for a year long programme of strategic support, and this visit marked the exciting beginning of that journey.
From the moment they stepped through our doors, the Pilot Light team immersed themselves in the everyday life of CAS. They met our trustees, chatted with staff, and spent time with the people who rely on our services. It was a powerful opportunity to witness first hand the vital role our hub plays, especially for the BAME community in Rochdale, where access to culturally sensitive support and services can make a life changing difference.

Over the coming months, we’ll be working closely with Pilot Light to strengthen our leadership, sharpen our strategy, and expand our capacity to meet growing needs. With their guidance, we’re determined to build a more sustainable future for CAS – one where our services continue to reflect, support, and empower the diverse communities we serve.

We’re deeply grateful to the Garfield Weston Foundation and Pilot Light for investing in our growth. Their support is helping us drive meaningful change right here in Rochdale, creating real opportunities for those who need it most.
Together, we can!
