Building Thriving Communities, Locally and Globally
At CAS, every week is a chance to bring people together, strengthen community bonds, and open new doors of opportunity. This past week was no different. From women’s wellbeing and community support to language learning and global advocacy, we showed what it truly means to create spaces where everyone feels they belong.
From Rochdale to Switzerland, our activities reflected one truth: when people are well, when they feel included, and when opportunities extend beyond borders, entire communities thrive.
Women’s Wellbeing and Motherhood Support
We began the week with our Women’s Wellbeing Session — a safe, supportive environment for women to access resources and share experiences.

Through the Feeding Mothers Program, nurses offered practical insights on infant feeding and motherhood. They also highlighted free baby massage lessons available at local hubs and distributed helpful resources and merchandise to support new mums.
This wasn’t only about information. It was about equipping women with tools, confidence, and a deeper sense of belonging in their parenting journeys.
Energy Support with RBH
As colder months approach, access to energy becomes a matter of safety and wellbeing. That’s why our facilitator, Roy Kitcher from RBH, joined us to guide participants through the process of accessing heating vouchers.
He patiently answered questions, clarified the application process, and even referred some participants directly for further support. This kind of hands-on guidance makes a real difference. By ensuring families can stay warm and secure, we’re living out our mission that no one in our community should be left behind.

Language Learning and Inclusion Through ESOL
Language is more than words; it is connection, access, and confidence.
Our ESOL (English for Speakers of Other Languages) sessions this week once again highlighted the power of language in breaking barriers. Each class gave participants the tools to engage more fully in education, employment, and everyday community life.
When people can express themselves and understand others, inclusion becomes reality.

From Rochdale to the World: Global Engagements
Our CEO also carried the CAS mission into wider spaces this week.
At the National Humanity Project, leaders gathered to spotlight pressing humanitarian challenges and explore practical solutions.
Later, at the World Trade event in Switzerland, CAS contributed to global conversations on inclusion, migration, and community development. These engagements made one thing clear: while our roots are firmly in Rochdale, our voice resonates far beyond.
Wellbeing, Belonging, and Beyond
Taken together, these activities capture the very essence of CAS:
Wellbeing, because health, energy support, and language are essential to thriving.
Belonging, because every woman, every family, and every learner deserves to feel safe and valued.
Beyond, because our mission stretches past local services into global advocacy.
This week wasn’t just busy; it was transformational. Each initiative, local or international, reinforced our vision of inclusive, resilient, and empowered communities.
