This Easter, CAS came alive with creativity, connection, and confidence-building moments as young people across our community took part in a vibrant week of activities designed to inspire, engage, and empower.
Beyond that, our Easter Holiday Activities Programme wasn’t just about keeping children busy during the holidays, it was about creating a safe, inclusive space where they could express themselves, build meaningful skills, and feel a true sense of belonging.
Creativity in Action
The week kicked off with energy, colour, and imagination. Younger participants explored painting, Easter crafts, and hands-on creative sessions that encouraged self-expression and confidence.

One of the standout moments came from our creative arts activities, where incredible talent was on display. To recognise their effort and originality, first and second place winners were awarded £50 and £25 vouchers; an exciting highlight that boosted confidence and celebrated achievement.
More than just activities, these sessions created space for joy, discovery, and pride in their creativity.
Building Confidence and Life Skills
For older participants, the focus shifted towards practical, real-world skills delivered in a fun and engaging way.
This extended into the final day of the programme, where participants engaged in a lively session on food, nutrition, and healthy habits, learning in a hands-on way by making their own smoothies and juices. It was a practical and memorable experience that blended learning with fun.
Connection, Fun, and Community
At the heart of the programme was connection.
From recreational trips and dance sessions to games, prizes, and shared moments of laughter, children had the opportunity to build friendships and feel part of something bigger. The final day brought an extra layer of excitement, with gifts and prizes distributed across multiple activities, ensuring every child left feeling celebrated.
A Week to Remember
By the end of the week, the impact was clear. The Easter Holiday Activities Programme became more than a series of activities; it became a space where young people felt seen, supported, and empowered.

At CAS, we remain committed to creating opportunities like this: where every child can learn, grow, and thrive in a safe and nurturing environment. With the success of this programme, we are already looking ahead to the next chapter.
