At Caring and Sharing Rochdale, we love celebrating the people who make a positive difference in our community. Today, we are proud to celebrate Ruba and the journey she has taken since first coming to our organisation.
When Ruba arrived in Rochdale as a refugee and asylum seeker, she became one of Caring and Sharing’s service users. Even then, she made a promise: once she had settled, she would give back to the community.
Today, we are delighted to see her keeping that promise.

A Journey of Giving Back
Since settling in Rochdale, Ruba has continued to support others and contribute meaningfully to the community. Her journey from service user to community champion is a wonderful example of how connection, encouragement and community support can inspire people to make a difference.
At Caring and Sharing, we believe that everyone has something valuable to contribute. Ruba’s story reflects that belief. Having received support herself, she has gone on to use her experiences to support others and give back to the community.
Her journey also reminds us that community is about more than receiving support. It is about building relationships, sharing experiences and creating opportunities for people to contribute in their own way.
Celebrating Ruba’s Contribution
Ruba is one of the many people who have come through Caring and Sharing and gone on to make a positive difference in the lives of others. We are incredibly proud to celebrate her journey and the kindness, dedication and commitment she continues to show.
Most importantly, Ruba’s story shows what can happen when people feel welcomed, supported and connected. A promise to give back has grown into a meaningful contribution to the community.
Thank you, Ruba, for all the wonderful work you do and for the difference you continue to make. Your contribution is valued, and we look forward to seeing all that lies ahead for you.
Keep shining, Ruba! ❤️
At Caring and Sharing Rochdale, we remain committed to supporting individuals, strengthening communities and celebrating the people who help make Rochdale a welcoming place for everyone.
