At Caring and Sharing Rochdale (CAS), our ESOL classes in Rochdale continue to help learners develop practical English language skills for everyday life. Through supportive and interactive sessions, learners build confidence, improve communication and take positive steps towards employment, independence and greater community involvement.
Developing Practical English Skills
This week, our learners strengthened their listening, reading and writing skills through activities based on real-life situations. They explored job adverts, expanded their everyday vocabulary and practised writing simple job application emails. As a result, they gained valuable communication skills that will support both daily life and future employment opportunities.

Building Strong Foundations
Meanwhile, our beginner learners focused on phonics and reading through CVC (consonant-vowel-consonant) word practice. These engaging activities helped improve pronunciation, reading fluency and word recognition. Consequently, learners continued building a strong foundation that will support their ongoing English language learning journey.
Creating Opportunities Through Learning
At CAS, we believe learning English is about much more than speaking a new language. It creates opportunities, builds confidence and helps people feel more connected within their local community. Therefore, every lesson is designed to support learners as they grow in confidence, develop new skills and become more independent.

Celebrating Progress
We are proud of the commitment and progress our ESOL learners have shown throughout the week. Every lesson brings new achievements, and every learner moves one step closer to reaching their personal goals. As we look ahead, CAS remains committed to providing inclusive ESOL classes that empower individuals, strengthen communities and create opportunities for brighter futures.
