Refugee Week 2026
As Refugee Week approaches, we are looking forward to celebrating the people, friendships, and connections that make our community so special.
At CAS, we see every day how bringing people together through activities, conversations, and shared experiences helps create a real sense of belonging.
Refugee Week is a chance to celebrate people in our communities. It also gives us space to listen to different stories and reflect on welcome, kindness, and inclusion. In simple terms, it reminds us that strong communities are built when people feel valued and connected.

Building Connections Through Community
Across our activities, we see people from different backgrounds come together. They share experiences, build friendships, and support one another.
For example, this happens through social groups, wellbeing activities, community events, and volunteering opportunities.
In addition, these moments of connection help people feel less isolated. They also help people feel more connected to the community around them.
At the same time, these relationships create welcoming spaces. People learn from one another, celebrate different cultures, and offer support when it is needed.

Everyone Has a Role to Play
Refugee Week 2026 is a reminder that small acts of kindness can make a meaningful difference. Whether it is attending a local event, learning about the experiences of refugees, volunteering, or simply reaching out to someone new, every action helps build a more inclusive community.
Together, we can foster environments where people feel safe, respected, and empowered to thrive.
Looking Ahead

As we prepare to mark Refugee Week 2026, we celebrate the power of community, friendship, and belonging. We look forward to joining our participants, volunteers, partners, and supporters in recognising the diversity that makes our communities stronger.
By listening, learning, and standing together, we can continue creating welcoming spaces where everyone has the opportunity to feel at home.
